Services and Pricing

Grooming pricing will always vary depending on size, style, pattern, coat condition, skin condition, matting, undercoat or temperament. Additional charges may also be applied for abnormal conditions requiring unusual time or effort. We will ALWAYS advise you of any additional charges in advance. Dogs who are on regularly scheduled maintenance programs will be given special pricing. Pricing and any discounts will be determined during your initial consultation on your first visit to our spa.

A. X-Small Dawgs up to 15 lbs.

B. Small Dawgs 16 to 30 lbs.

C. Medium Dawgs 31 to 45 lbs.

D. Large Dawgs 46 to 70 lbs.

E. X-Large Dawgs Over 70 lbs.

Temperament

At Hot Dawgs In Paradise, it is our goal to offer professional pet pampering in a cheerful and pleasant stress-free environment. To ensure the safety and pleasure of all our furry guests, we have implemented the following policies:

If your pet resists the grooming experience or any part of it to the extent that it becomes an extremely stressful and/or dangerous situation for your pet and/or the groomer, we will not attempt to finish the groom. Your cost will be adjusted based only on services successfully provided. We will be happy to work with you to create a grooming plan that allows your pet to be groomed in incremental stages during a number of regularly scheduled shorter visits until he or she becomes more comfortable with the grooming experience.

Nail Trims

At Hot Dawgs In Paradise, we do not include nail trims in the grooming process. Some dawgs are perfectly comfortable with having their nails trimmed, but some find it most unpleasant and have a fearful or agitated reaction. It is our goal to keep your pup's spa experience completely positive and relaxing, so we have eliminated nail trims from our services.

Anal Glands

Anal Glands or Anal Sacs are pockets on either side of your pet’s rectum. These sacs can become filled with fluid that can cause infection, irritation, or can become impacted if not released. Many dawgs, especially larger breeds, excrete their anal glands while some need it done for them. You may see your dog chew at his back end, or do the “booty scoot’ on your carpet….this can be their way of letting you know the anal sacs are full. At Hot Dawgs In Paradise, we do not do anal expression. If improperly or unnecessarily expressed, serious problems can result. If we (or you) feel that your dawg’s anals need attention, we will refer you to our veterinarian to be sure the need is properly assessed and treated. Your pet’s best interest is our biggest concern.
